Monday Listicles - Crushes

Happy New Year everyone! It's the last day of 2012!!!! We don't have any plans, life of a parent I guess. I will be doing a Christmas recap post this week also.



But for today's Monday Listicles, Stasha with the help of Kate from Can I Get Another Bottle of Wine with My Morning Quiet Time has come up with 3 different topics to chose from. 10 Tweets, 10 Thing's Totally 80's or 10 Crush's.
Since I was born in the 80's, My list would mostly be kid toys, so I am going with 10 crush's. Cause why not look at hot guys on the last day of the year.

Secret Santa Ornament Exchange

Happy Christmas Eve!!! Hope everyone is ready for Christmas. I am finishing up wrapping, baking and getting things together. It's the first year Jakah kinda understands what is going on. He asked Santa for a specific present and it happens to be what Santa is bringing!!! So excited for tomorrow morning! I am charging up the video camera so I can record his face and reactions!

Anyways The Sarcasm Goddess set up an amazing Secret Santa Ornament Exchange, and I was lucky enough to be a part of it!

I received an amazing ornament from Laura at Catharsis. It is a beautiful little angel made from a piece of dish plate. I just love it! And it's so nice to have something girly on my boy tree!
 

I sent two ornaments to Kristin from That Unique* Weblot. I couldn't decide what to send her, that's why she got two! Hope she likes them!

Kelly from Writing Down To The Bones suggested the topic 10 Ornaments and then memories behind them for this week's Monday listicles.

Unfortunately I didn't put any of my amazing ornaments out this year. Between a 2 year old, a baby, a dog and a tiny charlie brown tree I just couldn't risk the chance of having ornaments broken. So I just have a few plastic and little (light weight) ornaments on the tree.

Friday Funnies #19 and Merry Christmas!

Happy Friday!!! It's good to see we all survived and the world didn't end today... well so far at least!


Just 4 more days until Christmas! Any fun plans for the weekend? Hopefully not scrambling to finish buying presents and wrapping. I have a few gifts left to wrap. Today we are going to my mother-in-law's house to make cookies with all the cousins. And then tomorrow we are going to see Christmas lights! So pretty low key right before the holidays!

Ok ok I told you I was obsessed! They crack me up! Anyways I will most likely be taking a break until after the holidays. My husband has the next 10 days off, and we have a lot of stuff planned already. Including an ENTIRE DAY off by myself to do whatever I want!!! I think I am going to the casino with my BFF! There's no kids allowed in there!

S'mores Brownies

Holy Moly people did you know that Christmas is in 5 days! EEEEKKK!!

Luckily I am 95% done with wrapping and all done with shopping! Yay me!

Now I can work on the baking! Last week my mom needed something to take with her to a church potluck. And it's not really a secret that she doesn't like cooking or baking much. I wanted to try out a recipe so I offered to make S'more Brownies for her to take.

I found this recipe at eMeals.com and it was super easy to make! Just what you need around the holidays

S'more Brownies by eMeals.com

Ingredients:
1 box of fudge brownie mix (plus the water, oil and eggs the box calls for)
2 cups of mini marshmallows
4 sheets of graham cracker, broken into pieces
2 milk chocolate bars, broken into pieces

Prepare brownies according to the directions on the box. Bake according to the box - Mine was at 350 for 40 mins.
Remove brownies from oven, and turn oven onto broil
Spread marshmallows and graham crackers over the top of the brownies.
Broil for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until marshmallows are golden in color (watch carefully so the graham crackers don't burn)
Remove brownies from oven, and add pieces of chocolate on top.

Taaa Daaaa! How simple and easy is that?! and super yummy!

WTF Wednesday - Santa Pictures

OK that seems like a weird title... but really we had Santa pictures taken. This year I did the boys together, and then Jensen alone with Santa since its his first Christmas.

Of course we were hoping Jakah would be more into it, but I think he is still scared of Santa! But he did ask for a green tractor. Which works out perfect since my husband restored an old John Deere pedal tractor for him. And no I didn't tell Jakah to ask for it!


My WTF is the fact that I have children that look like twins 2 years and 4 months apart.
Seriously


Minus the fact that Jakah was 4 months older, and fatter... They look identical!

Friday Funnies # 18

Happy Friday!!! How was everyone's week? Any big plans for the weekend? I think I am finishing up my Christmas shopping tomorrow. Only have a few more little things to go. Then probably baking some cookies for the neighbors. Then off to a roller derby bout Saturday night, and we have 2 birthday parties to go to on Sunday! Whew!
