This week for our Monday Listicles task, Ally from Just A Normal Mom has suggested we list our 10 Favorite Movie Quotes. But since I suck at remembering ANYTHING (seriously anything!). I am going to list my 10 Favorite Movies
I used to work at Blockbuster way back in high school. And have always loved watching movies. But kids are around and I am way behind on my movie watching.
I will watch these if they are on tv, or just pulling out the DVD, no matter how many times I have already seen them.
1. My ALL TIME favorite movie is Breakfast At Tiffany's. The boys won't watch it so I usually watch it alone.
2. Auntie Mame with Rosalind Russell
3. Funny Face
4. Guys and Dolls
5. Roman Holiday
6. The Story Of Us - Just reminds me of how real relationships are
7. Lars and The Real Girl - This movie cracks me up! It's Hilarious!
8. Julie and Julia
9. Saved - So freaking funny!
10. Away We Go - LOVE, love, love this movie!
As you can see I love Audrey Hepburn, and many not very popular movies. Sometimes I find the independent, not huge blockbuster movies are the funniest.
Love this list! My daughter and I are huge Audrey Hepburn fans and Breakfast at Tiffany's is the best! Although I loved Funny Girl too. So glad you included Away We Go---what a beautiful gem of a movie. We have very similar taste in movies, Erin
ReplyDeleteAway We Go is definitely a gem, and should have more recognition! Funny Girl is a really unknown Audrey Hepburn movie!
DeleteI have never seen a single one of these movies. I haven't even heard of a few of them. Thanks for the list of things to check out while my husband is out of town!
ReplyDeleteWHAT!?! Your husband might watch some of them, mine likes Lars and The Real Girl, and Away We Go
DeleteDarling, I love Breakfast at Tiffanys! And Saved takes me back to my college years!
ReplyDeleteLooks like we should start a Breakfast at Tiffany's club around here! and Saved is just awesomely funny!
DeleteI've only seen a couple of these. I will have to check a few of them out!
ReplyDeleteI hope you like them!
DeleteYou can never have too much Audrey. Never.
ReplyDeleteLove this list. And I loved that you had some older movies and independent ones too. I watch the popular ones and blockbusters with the hubby, but when it is just me, I usually pick an indie flick.
Never enough Audrey :) My husband actually prefers the indies with me :) But we watch all movies
DeleteI have 9 of the 10 on DVD. Must spend a weekend rewatching. Great list!

PS: Nothing beats Rosalind Russell as Auntie Mame. My dream job would be to play Agnes Gooch in that movie!
Which one don't you have? And I totally had to put Rosalind Russell up because Lucille Ball (while I love her) didn't do as good of a job and I love the original one. What a great dream job! Agnes Gooch is awesome :)
DeleteYou have a ton of classics on your list! I really liked Julie and Julia a lot more than I thought I would. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI love old classic movies! I feel the same way about Julie and Julia! Didn't expect it to be so good :)
DeleteThis is a GREAT list! I loved so many of these movies...and was reminded of some I had not seen. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to watch the ones you haven't seen! :)
DeleteI think I just may have fallen in love. Breakfast at Tiffany's- the party scene "Timber", Auntie Mame, Saved. Awesome list
ReplyDeleteAwe Thank You! Auntie Mame is awesome, I so wish I owned it on DVD and not VHS... cause I have no VCR
DeleteI haven't seen some of these, but I really liked Julie and Julia. I haven't seen Breakfast at Tiffany's in ages - have to watch that one again soon.
ReplyDeleteHope you get to watch the ones you haven't seen! I just watched Breakfast at Tiffany's last weekend while all the boys were gone :)
DeleteI had Saved on my list too! I just love hearing "Moon River" in Breakfast at Tiffany's. And the party. And the cat...hmm I need to watch it again!
ReplyDeleteYes watch is ASAP! I just watched it a few weekends ago when all the boys were gone :)
DeleteWell whadaya know, your name is Audrey! I love your list. I'm writing a few down hoping to find again on Netflix - save for a rainy day. Of cours (alone) - now when it THAT going to happen? I really just need to bookmark this page because I LOVE your list.
ReplyDeleteI do have a slight obsession with Audrey Hepburn, the name is just coincidence :) I hope you get to watch the ones you haven't seen! My husband watches the indie films with me and likes them!
DeleteA few people quoted stuff from Saved. I hadn't even heard of it. Sounds like something I should watch, though.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty funny, definitely check it out!
DeleteOh, I love Rosalind Russell as Auntie Mame! I do a pretty darn good Gloria Upson impression, too.
ReplyDeleteNow that's talent! :) I wouldn't be able to pull off Gloria! :)
DeleteI will admit, I don't believe I've seen a single movie on this list! But, I will definitely have to look into them. And like you, I like reruns! If you miss a part b/c your kid spill his juice or falls into the wall, it's no biggie. You know what happens. :)
